Worship

At Hillside UMC, worship is our time of coming together, growing closer to God, and celebrating our community.
Normally, we worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00am, followed by a time of fellowship.  But, in this very challenging season, we worship God individually with a guidance of online bulletin. I hope and pray that each of you have your own Active worship to God wherever you are.

JOYS AND CONCERNS

This is a week of many joys:

If you remember baby Anya who was born with severe heart problems. She is home and doing well with all her surgeries behind her.Growing now healthy and happy.

Former Pastors, Farrah and Matt Willis-Goode are expecting their first child, a boy, in February. What a joy. They have waited so long for this miracle.

More Joy for both Rick and Janet Thompson.Rick’s surgery went well and he is recovering quickly. Both of Janet’s eye surgeries have produced great results.

Prayers are needed:

Murray McKay had a fall and broke his arm badly enough to need surgery. He is recovering very well at home and looking forward to getting back to worship.

Continued prayers for June Goss and Cheryl Dennis.

Prayers for Janet’s friend Karen Campbell with a rare form of cancer for which there is little treatment.

Prayers for Roz’s friend’s daughter, Joanne as she prepares for a double mastectomy soon.

Continued prayers for those in nursing homes and missing out on family visits. Our own Fred Penney, Imogene Williams, and Betty Champagne.

Many prayers needed for those scientists working so long and hard to develop a vaccine for Covid-19.

Prayers for healing of the divisions within our country.
