33 God’s riches, wisdom, and knowledge are so deep! They are as mysterious as his judgments, and they are as hard to track as his paths! 34 Who has known the Lord’s mind?    Or who has been his mentor? 35 Or who has given him a gift and has been paid back by him? 36 All things are from him and through him and for him.
May the glory be to him forever. Amen.        Romans 11:33-36   CEB

This passage from Paul’s letter shows both poetic qualities as well as hymn-like qualities. He speaks of three attributes of God – His knowledge, His wisdom and the depth of His richness in grace and mercy to us all. In this section, he quotes wise words spoken by both Job and Isaiah. All of what God is all about is certainly beyond our human ability to fully grasp. The answer to both v.34 and 35, of course, is no one, because “ All things are from Him and through Him and for Him” ( v.36 ). This is indeed a great statement of praise and worship !

Let us pray together – All Knowing and Ever Present God , we worship and adore You. All things in our world are here because of You, and they are here for You, as a testament to Your greatness and power. All Powerful One, we lift our voices in praise to You !!  Help us, LORD, we pay, to learn more of Your desires , what Your divine will is for us all. Help bring healing to a fractured, hurting world that is in need of Your solace, Your compassion, the “peace that passes all understanding” – indeed, it is through Christ our Savior we pray.  Amen.

Yours in Christ  ,  Rollie

Romans 11: 33-36

36 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Everything comes from God. Whether it be life, death, good times or bad. They are all part of God’s plan. God gave us his Son so that we could be saved. Jesus and the Holy Spirit bring us life everlasting if only we follow the “rules”. I have recently experienced the power of prayer and God’s wonderful response. Knowing how wonderful God is and attempting to do all that I can for him will be my life’s goal.

Dearest God, all things come from you. You are a wonderful God and one who gives so freely. Thank you for all you do and have done for me. To you I give all the glory and honor forever. Amen.

20200923 Wed, Daily Devotion - Romans 11:36 (NIV)

“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.”

What I found from Romans 11:36 is that Wisdom is to know everything came from Him and through Him and will go back to Him and for His glory. When we know where the start, end, and the direction are, we can live, do, and make the right decision in the right path.

Father, thank you for letting me know where I came from, go toward, and will end where. Please be with me by the Spirit and lead me toward where you want me to go. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
