The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;  all who follow his precepts have good understanding.  To him belongs eternal praise.           Psalm 111:10

One of the keys to gaining God-like wisdom and to gain a better understanding of who He is,  is to have affection in a reverent way for The LORD , to “fear the LORD” – in this way, we can gain a better, deeper understanding of the beautiful attributes of God. In gaining that understanding, we will also know that His will is what is best, not ours.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction."     Proverbs 1:7

It is important that we recognize wise instruction and apply knowledge wisely. Most importantly, this all begins with a reverent fear of the Lord and the rejection of foolish ways.

Let us pray please – Holy and Eternal One – Your ways are right, true and just for all. Your wisdom surpasses all we can even imagine. Help us, LORD, to learn more about You, guide us so that we can understand more. We need to forego the foolish ways of the past, and move forward in a new and enlightened way – Your way , our God , which is the way of love, of compassion and kindness to all.
Through Jesus’ great Name we pray.  Amen.

Yours in Christ  ,  Rollie

Psalm 111: 10

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Fear of the Lord. I would say that I do fear the Lord. I fear disappointing him. I fear that he may not approve of all that I do as I go through my day. I have respect for all he has done and will do in my life. How he has answered my prayers even though I may not have been so attentive to him. He has given me the wisdom to know right from wrong and to attempt to do good always.

Dearest Lord, thank you for all the wisdom you have given me. I still have a lot to learn but I will attempt to do better with the knowledge that you have shared with me. I love you. Amen.
