Our Daily Devotion for Monday, December 21st, 2020

6 “Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or to the left.  11 So be very careful to love the Lord your God.       14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.           Joshua 23:6,11 and 24:14
 
During his last days, Joshua leaves a charge to the nation of Israel – to stay strong and steadfast with God. He told them that God was true to His promises of deliverance and protection ; now they must do the same for God.  We also need to stay true to The Holy One, in all we do and say !!
 
Let us pray :  Holy and Giving God, You are Jehovah, Lord of all creation , we worship You and You alone. There are many among us that worship other “gods” – money, power, privilege……..we pray that they will find You in their lives, and leave all those others behind, and follow You and You alone !    We pray all through Jesus, our Savior…..Amen
