On August 24th Hillside UMC, Kids4Peace, and local volunteers came together as part of the Peace Pole Project. Pastor Durwood and eight speakers, one per language written on the Peace Pole, shared personal stories and witness about the power of peace. No matter what language the message was the same: May Peace Prevail on Earth. Included in the dedication were representatives of the 2014 Kids4Peace - New Hampshire Chapter: Rabbi Robin Nafshi of Temple Beth Jacob, Concord, NH, Lola Ackerman from Temple Beth Jacob, Concord, and Tyler Baker of Bow Mills United Methodist Church. Kids4Peace is an interfaith youth movement founded in Jerusalem in 2002. Their mission is to build interfaith communities that embody a culture of peace and empower a movement for change (click here to learn more about Peace4Kids).
