A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis

​During these difficult days, members of the Seacoast District of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

Today's PrayerBased on by Isaiah 25:1-9 and Psalm 106:1-6
 
O LORD, our God, we pray that you open our hearts to the beautiful things that you have done and continue to do.
As the psalmist cries, “Who can declare the mighty acts of the Lord or show forth all praise?”
Lord, because of your goodness, we want to exalt you, we want to praise your name!
 
Through Jesus, the gift of eternal mercy and justice has shown us how we are to care for each other; to elevate our sisters, our brothers, into unity. 
“Who can declare the mighty acts of the Lord or show forth all praise?”
 Lord Jesus, we pause to reflect that we are often silent in exalting you in our idleness to your call to justice.
 
You have shown us that you are refuge to the poor and the needy in their distress, calling us to do the same.
“Who can declare the mighty acts of the Lord or show forth all praise?”
We repent, oh Lord, that we have neglected to show forth all praise.
 
Lord of hosts for all peoples, you are a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. As we soak in your mercies, we pray, Lord Jesus, empower us to be your servant. For as your word declares, “Happy are those who act with justice and always do what is right!
 
As the psalmist cries, “Who can declare the mighty acts of the Lord or show forth all praise?”
We rejoice in your salvation and give thanks for your goodness.
We come to you in service to exalt and praise your name!
 
Lord Jesus, we sing Hallelujah! Exalting and praising your name! Amen
